A significant chapter of Texas and American military history was honored on April 1 in Fort Worth, where a new Texas Historical Commission marker was unveiled at Veterans Memorial Park. The marker pays tribute to the Choctaw Code Talkers — members of the 36th Infantry Division whose use of their Native language became a decisive advantage for Allied forces on the Western Front during World War I.
