⚓ Meet Rick Smith
Rick Smith is a devoted community member, seasoned entrepreneur, and lifelong advocate for faith-based connection and outdoor stewardship. Rick is a native of Bell County. He earned his degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He then returned home to teach in Temple. He later founded Marine Outlet, a successful Temple-based marine dealership that has served Central Texas boaters since 1969.
Rick’s passion for storytelling and service extends beyond the dock. He loves Southern gospel music. This passion led him to co-host Sunday Gathering alongside Bill Hecke. They bring encouragement and connection to listeners who may not otherwise be able to attend church.
A proud Lions Club member for more than 30 years, Rick has dedicated decades to community service throughout the region. Whether he’s behind the microphone or lending a hand locally, Rick continues to make a lasting impact across Central Texas. He does this one story, one broadcast, and one act of service at a time.
