The Nest FM Recording Studio is a KNCT-operated production space available for approved college-related podcasts, interviews, voice recordings, and other audio projects.

The studio and its equipment were purchased and are maintained by KNCT. Studio access is available to approved users by reservation and is subject to KNCT studio policies.

Before You Request Access

Students must be accompanied by an approved Central Texas College faculty or staff supervisor while using the studio. The supervising faculty or staff member is responsible for the reservation and must remain present during studio use.

Equipment located in the studio is not general-use CTC equipment and may not be removed, checked out, disconnected, relocated, or reconfigured without prior authorization from KNCT staff.

Studio access is available for approved college-related projects. Faculty, staff, and program representatives must request access before using the reservation system. Submission of a request does not automatically grant studio access. KNCT will review each request and provide approved users with the Studio Use Agreement and reservation instructions.

Already Have a Reservation?

When you arrive at KNCT, use the Studio Check-In / Check-Out QR code located beside the studio key box.

Before entering: Complete Check-In before taking the studio key.
When finished: Return the studio key and complete Check-Out before leaving.

Any missing key, equipment malfunction, damage, or other studio issue should be reported to KNCT staff immediately.

Regularly Scheduled Groups

Groups with standing reservations will continue to have their regularly scheduled studio time reserved automatically. Approved users who need additional studio time should use the reservation link provided by KNCT.

Changes to an existing standing schedule should be coordinated with KNCT staff so the recurring reservation can be updated.

Studio Hours

Reservations are generally available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, subject to existing reservations and KNCT availability. Limited Friday availability may appear when regularly scheduled users release their reserved time.

All users must finish recording, secure the studio, and return the key by the end of their reserved period.
