Texas Veterans and military families will soon have greater access to memorable experiences and vital support services thanks to a new statewide collaboration between the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) and Vet Tix (Veteran Tickets Foundation). The partnership, formalized through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding, brings together two organizations committed to improving Veterans’ quality of life through connection, community and shared experiences.

The agreement allows TVC and Vet Tix to combine their strengths: TVC’s statewide outreach network and Vet Tix’s nationally recognized complimentary event ticket program. Together, they aim to ensure more Texas veterans, service members and their families discover opportunities to attend sporting events, concerts, performing arts and family activities—while also gaining awareness of the benefits, services and support available through TVC.
“Our goal is to make sure Texas veterans know about the opportunities and resources available to them,” said Thomas P. Palladino, Executive Director of the Texas Veterans Commission. “Vet Tix gives veterans and their families opportunities to enjoy experiences together, and this collaboration allows us to introduce even more veterans to those opportunities while connecting Vet Tix members with the services and support available through TVC. It’s a simple way for two organizations to extend their reach and make a meaningful difference for the people we serve.”
Connecting Veterans to Experiences That Matter
Under the new partnership, TVC will promote Vet Tix’s complimentary ticket program through its website, social media channels, newsletters and regional outreach events across Texas. This will help eligible veterans and service members learn how to register for free and request tickets to events in their area.
Vet Tix, in turn, will highlight TVC as a strategic partner and introduce its Texas membership to the Commission’s broad range of programs—including claims assistance, health care advocacy, employment services, education benefits, mental health resources and entrepreneurial support.
“Texas is home to more veterans than almost any other state, and we want to ensure they know Vet Tix exists,” said Michael A. Focareto, Vet Tix Founder, CEO and U.S. Navy veteran. “Collaborating with the Texas Veterans Commission gives us a direct connection to the people we exist to serve. Every ticket we provide is a small way of saying thank you while creating lasting memories. Together, we can reach more Texas veterans and military families and connect them with opportunities that enrich their lives.”
A Shared Commitment to Wellness, Community and Connection
The collaboration reflects a shared mission: improving veterans’ quality of life by expanding access to resources, strengthening community ties and encouraging positive experiences that support wellness and reintegration.
Since 2008, Vet Tix has distributed more than 40 million complimentary event tickets to currently serving military members, veterans and eligible family members of those killed in action. The organization’s model is simple—shared experiences help build stronger families, reduce isolation and create moments of joy that can make a lasting impact.
By aligning Vet Tix’s nationwide ticket program with TVC’s statewide network of services, both organizations hope to reach veterans who may not otherwise know these opportunities exist.
Eligible Texas veterans, service members and qualifying family members can register for free at www.VetTix.org. Tickets are provided at no cost, though delivery fees may apply. Availability varies by event and location.
