Boil Water Notice Lifted for Killeen Neighborhood After Scheduled Maintenance

The City of Killeen has lifted a Boil Water Notice for several homes in the Watercrest Road, Windsor Circle, and Wales Drive area after water quality testing confirmed that no contamination occurred.

The notice, which applied to the following addresses:

  • 1401–1413 Windsor Circle
  • 2301–2303 Watercrest Road
  • 1411 Wales Drive

The notice was issued as a precaution after scheduled maintenance required water crews to isolate a section of the water main to repair a leaking isolation valve. According to city officials, crews remained on site until all repairs were completed and water service was fully restored.

As required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), residents in the affected area were advised to boil all water prior to consumption until laboratory sampling could verify that the water supply was safe. Those samples were collected the following day, and results confirmed that no harmful bacteria or contaminants were present.

With the notice now lifted, the City has issued public updates through its website and the Boil Water Notice Hotline at (254) 501‑6515. Residents with additional questions may contact Water & Sewer Services for assistance.
