Central Texas landowners and ranchers will soon have a valuable opportunity to strengthen the health and longevity of their stock ponds. The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is partnering with McLennan Community College Continuing Education to launch a three‑part Stock Pond Management Workshop Series, beginning August 31 in Waco.
Hosted at the AgriLife Extension office for McLennan County, 4224 Cobbs Drive, the series will run from 6–8 p.m. on Aug. 31, Sept. 14, and Sept. 21. Participants may attend in person or join virtually through Microsoft Teams, making the program accessible to pond owners across the region.
The full workshop package costs $49, covering all three sessions. Registration is available online at tx.ag/StockPondManagement or by calling 254‑299‑8888. After registering, attendees will receive additional details and instructions for both in‑person and virtual participation.
What the Workshop Covers
Natural resources agent Jerod Meurer will lead each session, offering practical guidance designed to help landowners build, maintain, and improve pond ecosystems.
