The Texas Veterans Commission (TVC), in partnership with Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, is gearing up for one of the largest veterans hiring events in Central Texas. The free job fair, Job Fair‑Con 2026, will take place July 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kalahari Convention Center, 3001 Kalahari Blvd., Suite 5, Round Rock, Texas.

Texas is home to more than 1.5 million veterans, the largest veteran population in the nation. Events like this play a vital role in helping service members and their families transition into civilian careers while connecting with employers who value their skills and experience.
More than 200 employers are expected to participate, representing industries from manufacturing and private enterprise to state and local government agencies. The event’s family‑friendly atmosphere is designed to make job seeking less stressful and more supportive.
To help veterans prepare, TVC will offer free job search resources, including résumé assistance, professional appearance services such as haircuts and dress preparation, and other tools to boost confidence before meeting employers face‑to‑face.
“This event is about more than just finding a job,” said Isaac Marquez‑Diaz, TVC Veterans Employer Liaison and Army veteran who helped plan the event. “We wanted to create an environment where veterans feel supported and welcomed—a place where they can explore career opportunities while bringing their families along for a little fun.”
Partnering organizations include the Texas Workforce Commission’s Texas Veterans Leadership Program and Workforce Solutions, both committed to helping veterans succeed in the workforce.
Veterans and family members interested in attending can register in advance at Job Fair‑Con 2026 through the Texas Veterans Commission website.
With hundreds of employers ready to hire and a supportive environment built for veterans and their families, Job Fair‑Con 2026 promises to be more than a job fair—it’s a celebration of service, opportunity, and community.
