The Foundation has officially launched its annual “Adventure Awaits” Sweepstakes, an invitation for park lovers across the country to dream big — and possibly win the national park adventure of a lifetime.
A Grand Prize Built for Big Dreams
One grand prize winner will receive 500,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles, enough to fly themselves and their companions to virtually any national park destination they can imagine. From the rugged peaks of Denali to the red-rock canyons of Utah, the possibilities stretch as wide as the American landscape.
To help make that dream trip a reality, the winner will also receive $10,000 in cash, generously provided by Forbright® Bank, to cover travel expenses, lodging, gear, and all the moments in between.
A Special Runner-Up Prize
In celebration of American Airlines’ 100th anniversary, one runner-up will receive 100,000 AAdvantage® miles, along with $1,000 in cash from the National Park Foundation — a perfect boost toward their own national park getaway.

The sweepstakes runs June 1 through July 31, 2026, with winners notified in September 2026. Entrants must be 18 years or older, and the sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States and Washington, D.C. (void in MN, MT, WA, and where prohibited).
