From November 4 through November 11, residents, businesses, and government offices are encouraged to display green lighting as a visible symbol of appreciation for those who have served in the armed forces.

In Texas, local governments and organizations have embraced the campaign, with landmarks and municipal buildings glowing green in solidarity. The initiative not only serves as a tribute to veterans’ service and sacrifice but also raises awareness of the challenges many face when transitioning back to civilian life.

Operation Greenlight is supported by the National Association of Counties and various state departments, including the North Carolina Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, which helped launch the campaign nationally.
