The latest episode of On the Dock with Rick Smith spotlighted the high-energy action from the TUFFMAN SERIES 25/26, Event Two, held October 19 at Lake Waco. The second stop of the Talbert Construction-sponsored tournament brought together 87 teams for an intense 8-hour competition marked by shifting weather and challenging conditions.
Kendall Lovett and Curt Wade claimed the top spot with a commanding 21.09-pound total catch, including the tournament’s biggest bass at 8.97 pounds. Their performance earned them $5,500 and 221 points, solidifying their status as frontrunners in the series.
Matthew and Lucas Scogin followed closely with 20.75 pounds and a 6.35-pound kicker, securing second place and $2,200. Third place went to Bennett and Honeycutt, whose 20.17-pound haul included a 6.32-pound standout, earning them $1,500.
The top five teams were:
- Lovett / Wade – 21.09 lbs. (8.97 BF) — $5,500
- Scogin / Scogin – 20.75 lbs. (6.35 BF) — $2,200
- Bennett / Honeycutt – 20.17 lbs. (6.32 BF) — $1,500
- Sebek / Whaley – 19.25 lbs. (6.64 BF) — $1,100
- Castillo / Killough – 18.06 lbs. — $1,000
In total, 244 fish were weighed for a combined 621.19 pounds, with a 100% release rate — a testament to the anglers’ commitment to conservation and sportsmanship.

Inks Lake State Park Celebrates 75 Years with New Headquarters and Family Activities
