After a breezy Sunday, Central Texas kicks off the new week under mostly sunny skies and continued warm, dry conditions. Afternoon highs will climb into the upper 80s and lower 90s, running several degrees above the seasonal average for October 13. Winds from the southeast will remain light, generally between 5 and 10 mph, offering a gentle breeze throughout the day.
Overnight, temperatures will ease into the upper 50s and 60s, setting the stage for another mild evening. This pattern of warm days and comfortable nights is expected to hold steady through much of the week, with daytime highs ranging from the mid 80s to low 90s and overnight lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s.
Looking ahead, a shift in the upper-level pattern could introduce our next chance for rain and slightly cooler temperatures by the weekend. However, confidence remains low, and current rain chances are modest. A weak cold front may also bring isolated showers to the Austin and San Antonio areas, with rain probabilities also very low.
🌎 National Weather Highlights

In the northern tier, heavy snow is forecast for the Northern Rockies and Sierra Nevada through Tuesday, while a coastal low along the Mid-Atlantic is expected to bring moderate rain, gusty winds, and potential coastal flooding from the Carolinas to New Jersey.
