Bell County Senior Expo – Tuesday, September 23rd!

The Bell County Senior Expo is coming Tuesday, September 23rd.

  • Over 250 Booths featuring health services, local businesses, senior resources, and community programs.
  • $10,000 in Door Prizes up for grabs throughout the day.
  • Live entertainment, giveaways, and interactive exhibits.
  • Free admission and plenty of parking.

September 11th – Seniors Living Smarter Seminar

The next Seniors Living Smarter Seminar: “Securing Your Legacy: Estate Planning for the Future.” Thursday, September 11th, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the McKinney Christian Ministry Center, located at 1205 Ash Street in Georgetown.

Hosted by Virginia Lazenby, Certified Senior Housing Professional and Seniors Real Estate Specialist, this session is part of a year long calendar designed to empower seniors to live smarter and more securely.

Get Moving with Senior Zumba at the Lions Club Park Senior Center

The Lions Club Park Senior Center invites seniors to join Rosa’s energizing Senior Zumba classes every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m., held in the Family Recreation Center Gym at 1700 E. Stan Schlueter Loop. These upbeat sessions are designed to improve fitness, foster friendships, and promote overall wellness—all in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Tailored for older adults, each class features low-impact moves that support flexibility, balance, and coordination. Certified instructors guide participants through easy-to-follow routines set to lively music, making every session both fun and beneficial.

The Bell County Museum’s Gault Site Tour Returns September 13th

Saturday, September 13th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, there will be a fully guided tour of the renowned Gault Site—a treasure trove of Paleoindian history nestled between Salado and Florence, just 30 minutes from Belton.

Over one million artifacts have been unearthed. This 2.5-mile site offers a rare glimpse into the lives of some of North America’s earliest inhabitants. While no longer an active dig, research continues to reveal new insights into the tools, traditions, and resilience of the Paleoindian culture.

Tour Details:

  • Meet at the site by 9:30 AM for check-in
  • Guided tour begins promptly at 10:00 AM
  • Led by knowledgeable representatives from the Gault School of Archaeological Research

Admission:

  • Adults (13+): $20
  • Youth (8–12): $10
  • Children under 8: Free
  • Cash or check only, payable on-site
