In a powerful gesture of compassion and community care, the Jim Hornsby Feed My Sheep Children’s Free Clinic is opening its doors to uninsured and homeless children this Saturday, August 9th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Day Fellowship Church, 510 E Ave J in Temple.

This absolutely free walk-in clinic is more than a medical outreach—it’s a lifeline for families navigating hardship. All minors must be accompanied by an adult, and no appointment is necessary.

The clinic will offer a wide range of essential services, including:

  • School vaccines and well/sick child visits
  • Sports physicals and vision/hearing screenings
  • Dental screenings and access to counselors
  • Free bicycle helmets, care packages, and school backpacks

Beyond the checkups and screenings, the clinic is providing free care package items tailored to each child’s needs. From backpacks to helmets, every item is a symbol of safety, dignity, and readiness for the school year ahead.

Hosted by the 501(c)(3) charitable organization Feed My Sheep, this event reflects the spirit of service that defines Temple’s heart. For more information, families can visit facebook.com/feedmysheeptemple or email clinic@feedmysheeptemple.org.
