Families in Central Texas will get a helping hand this back-to-school season when The Carlson Law Firm hosts its annual backpack giveaway on Saturday, August 2nd, beginning at 10am at its Killeen office, 100 E Central TX Expressway. This year’s event embraces a drive-thru format, making it easy for families to receive KISD-compliant backpacks filled with essential school supplies—without leaving the comfort of their vehicles.

Each backpack includes scissors, pencils, glue, markers, crayons, notebooks, and portfolios, ensuring children start the school year with confidence and the tools they need to succeed. While supplies last, families can receive up to three backpacks per household, with the important note that children must be present to claim one.

The giveaway is more than just school prep—it’s a Party With a Purpose, organized through the firm’s charitable outreach arm, Carlson Cares. A scavenger hunt and other in-vehicle activities add festive flair to the experience. The Mid-Texas Corvette Club will also be on-site, showcasing their life-size Hot Wheels display to delight attendees of all ages.

Traffic flow will be assisted by Killeen Police Department officers, with attendees entering from Florence Road, as marked on the official event map.
