The City of Killeen is inviting residents to provide feedback on a proposed extension of the Fort Cavazos Regional Trail, a project aimed at enhancing accessibility and outdoor recreation.

A public meeting will be held on Thursday, June 12, at 5:30 p.m. at the Family Recreation Center (1700 E. Stan Schlueter Loop), where attendees can learn more about the project, ask questions, and share their thoughts.

The current trail begins near Watercrest Road and Cody Poe Road, stretching to Robinett Road between Waterproof Drive and Edgefield Street. The proposed extension would extend the trail south to Clear Creek Road, just north of Texas A&M-Central Texas University. Additionally, the project includes plans for an ADA-accessible trail and new lighting at the southern end of the existing path.

Residents can submit feedback ahead of the meeting by completing a short survey at this link.
