On Sunday, May 25, 2025, the National Memorial Day Concert returns to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol for its 36th annual broadcast, offering a powerful tribute to America’s military men and women and the fallen heroes who have sacrificed for the nation. This deeply moving event, hosted by award-winning actors Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise, will air live on PBS from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET, with additional streaming available for audiences worldwide, including military personnel tuning in via American Forces Network.

The concert has long been a cherished tradition, blending storytelling, musical salutes, and moments of remembrance, reminding Americans of the service and sacrifice behind Memorial Day.   • 250th Anniversary of the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps – Recognizing centuries of service to the nation.
  • World War II 80th Anniversary Salute – Featuring actor Robert Patrick, the segment will honor U.S. Marine Don Graves, who fought at the historic Battle of Iwo Jima.
  • Gold Star Families Tribute – Actor Gretchen Mol will introduce the story of Krista Simpson Anderson, a Gold Star Wife who lost her husband in Afghanistan.
  • Vietnam War Dustoff Crews – Actor Blair Underwood will highlight the heroic efforts of Col. Otis Evans (Ret.), who risked his life rescuing wounded soldiers under enemy fire.

The concert will feature unforgettable performances by:

  • Scotty Hasting – Army combat veteran and country music artist.
  • Loren Allred – Multi-platinum singer known for The Greatest Showman.
  • Yolanda Adams – Grammy-winning gospel legend.
  • Mary McCormack – Acclaimed stage and screen actress.
  • Angel Blue – Award-winning soprano from Aida at the Metropolitan Opera.
  • National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Jack Everly.

In addition to these special performances, the event will showcase a Salute to Services, with participation from military ensembles, including the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, Navy Band Sea Chanters, and Armed Forces Color Guard.
