The skies over Temple are about to come alive with the roar of engines, the shimmer of twilight aerobatics, and the pulse of live music as the Central Texas AirFest returns to Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport on May 16–17, 2025. Recently named Best New Festival by the Texas Festivals and Events Association, this award-winning event promises to be bigger, bolder, and more breathtaking than ever.
The 2025 AirFest kicks off Friday evening with a Twilight Airshow from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., featuring dazzling aerial performances set against the setting sun. Highlights include:
- The All Airborne Battalion: Military canopy jumpers and skydivers showcasing precision and bravery.
- Go EZ Aerobatics: Performing gravity-defying stunts in a vintage 1986 Rutan Long-EZ.
- The Trojan Phlyers: Delivering synchronized formation aerobatics in classic 1958 North American T-28Cs.
As the sky darkens, the energy ramps up with a live concert by The Spazmatics, a high-energy 80s tribute band, followed by the McLane Intelligent Solutions Drone Show Spectacular, lighting up the night with cutting-edge choreography.
On Saturday, May 17, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the AirFest continues with a full day of aerial action, static aircraft displays, and family-friendly fun. Attendees can explore:
- Vintage and modern aircraft on display
- Food trucks and vendor booths
- A Kid Zone packed with activities for young aviation fans
“This year’s AirFest is all about elevating the experience,” said Sean Parker, Director of the Airport. “We’re bringing back fan favorites and introducing new elements that will take the show to the next level. It’s an unforgettable experience for all ages.”
