The Bell County Museum invites visitors and children of all ages, especially those on the autism spectrum and with sensory sensitivities, to enjoy a special Sensory Friendly Day. This unique event will take place before the museum opens to the public, offering a serene and welcoming environment with lower lights, softer sounds, and engaging sensory-friendly activities.

Attendees can explore exhibits featuring history, math, science, and more, while participating in fun activities designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone. The museum has also arranged a quiet room for anyone needing a break and sensory bags available for rental to provide additional support.
This event is entirely free of charge for attendees of all ages. To ensure a smooth experience, pre-registration is required and can be completed on the Bell County Museum’s website.
In addition to the sensory-friendly activities, the Bell County Museum is excited to announce a new educational offering for educators across the county.

ATTENTION EDUCATORS!!
The museum is now offering a new education travel trunk, “All Aboard! American Railroads,” available for FREE two-week rentals. Educators can take their students on a journey across the country by exploring American railroads and Bell County depots. This travel trunk includes TEKS-based lesson plans and activities, as well as relevant artifacts, pictures, games, and more to engage students.
