TEMPLE – The City of Temple is now accepting applications for the Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program, a new initiative adopted by the City Council to promote residential investment and stimulate business and commercial activity within the Neighborhood Planning Districts.
The program offers matching funds for both residential and non-residential properties within the City’s Neighborhood Planning Districts and Corridors. Eligible activities include new construction, rehabilitation, adaptive re-use, and the creation of accessory dwelling units.
“We are excited about this new grant program, as it encourages economic investment in the Neighborhood Planning Districts,” said Assistant City Manager Erin Smith. “With the resources we have available, we can assist owners and lessees with property enhancements in our neighborhoods and bring new vitality to the areas our residents and businesses call home.”
Grant recipients are eligible for a maximum award of $10,000, provided through financial reimbursement upon project completion. Funding is available for the 2025 fiscal year, and applications will remain open until all funds are distributed.
Applications are available online and will be reviewed by city staff once submitted. For more information about grant requirements and eligible projects, please visit templetx.gov.
