COPPERAS COVE – The Board of Trustees of the Copperas Cove Independent School District (CCISD) has announced a special meeting to be held on Tuesday, December 17th at 5:30pm. The meeting will take place in the CCISD Board Room, located at 408 S. Main Street in Copperas Cove.
A key item on the agenda is the discussion and selection of the lone finalist for the Superintendent position. The Board will deliberate on the applicants in a closed session before making their final decision in an open session.
The CCISD Board of Trustees encourages community members to attend and participate in this important meeting as they work to select the district’s next Superintendent.
The meeting will begin with an open forum, allowing members of the community to address the Board of Trustees. This is an opportunity for public input and engagement on various issues concerning the district.
In accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Board may conduct a closed meeting to discuss all or part of any item on the agenda. Before commencing any closed session, the presiding officer will publicly identify the applicable section of the Open Meetings Act or other relevant laws authorizing the closed meeting. All final votes, actions, or decisions discussed in a closed session will be made during an open meeting for which proper notice has been given.
