3rd Annual Lighting of the Bell Tower
Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024

Dear KNCT Family,

On a crisp, magical evening, I had the pleasure of attending the 3rd Annual Lighting of the Bell Tower at Central Texas College. This enchanting event was a celebration of holiday cheer, bringing our community together for an unforgettable evening filled with lights, music, and festive fun. The campus, home to KNCT 91.3 FM, transformed into a breathtaking winter wonderland that radiated the spirit of the season.

The evening began with the grand lighting of the Bell Tower, a dazzling moment that officially kicked off the festivities. From there, we strolled along a beautifully lit path to the Holiday Tree Lighting by the Fountain, a sight that was as delightful as the twinkling lights surrounding us. The campus courtyard came alive with Christmas trees decorated by KISD students, each one a unique display of creativity and school pride. Together, they created a whimsical Holiday Tree Farm, evoking the magic of a Christmas forest.

Families and children reveled in meeting Santa Claus, sipping hot cocoa, and playing in artificial snow—a rare and exciting treat for Central Texas! The evening was further enriched by choir performances that filled the air with classic holiday tunes, and local vendors offering festive treats and handcrafted goods.

What stood out most was the sense of unity and collaboration. Departments across Central Texas College came together seamlessly to make this event a success, creating a welcoming and joyful atmosphere for everyone. The incredible turnout underscored the growing popularity of this cherished tradition.

As the Bell Tower glowed against the night sky, it served as a beautiful reminder of the joy that comes from gathering as a community. From the enchanting light displays to the sound of children’s laughter, the evening was a true celebration of the holiday spirit.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this magical night. Here’s to continuing this beloved tradition and spreading joy throughout the holiday season!

Warm wishes,
