USO Fort Cavazos was established in 2001 and is located in the Rivers Building (Bldg. 121) being the first USO Center on a military installation. Helping Veterans Starts Here! This podcast highlights services of the Texas Veterans Commission, which assists veterans in obtaining all the state and federal benefits they have earned. Veterans, family members and survivors pay no cost for our services. We file disability claims and appeals, help resolve VA medical care issues, assist with education benefits, and the job search, and help vets start their own business. We work to ensure veterans have access to competent mental health services. We have a Women Veterans Program and we award grants to veteran serving non profits.

Our Veterans Mental Health Department maintains a steady stream of training aimed at suicide prevention all year long. These classes are free and can be scheduled for organizations across the state. Listen to learn about suicide prevention, our Mental Health Department and how to take part in Operation H.O.P.E. Resilient Warrior 22K and Virtual Town Hall.
