Voice of Texas Veterans with Julia Conner

This podcast highlights services of the Texas Veterans Commission, which assists veterans in obtaining all the state and federal benefits they have earned. Veterans, family members and survivors pay no cost for our services. We file disability claims and appeals, help resolve VA medical care issues, assist with education benefits, and the job search, and help vets start their own business. We work to ensure veterans have access to competent mental health services. We have a Women Veterans Program and we award grants to veteran serving non profits.

Today’s episode spotlights Veterans who deployed to a combat zone but never enrolled in VA health care. You may be eligible if you left active duty between September 11, 2001 and October 1, 2013, even if you never filed a disability claim.
