Central Texas State Fair

With music and entertainment, world class performances daily, PBR, exciting rides, games, and attractions, the Central Texas State Fair is truly a place where families make memories and traditions begin.

This September, Fair visitors will have the opportunity to discover “The Bulls & Bands” and enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of Central Texas!

The Central Texas State Fair Association is a volunteer supported, Labor Day tradition that contributes to the quality of life for Bell County and the surrounding area.

The Central Texas State Fair Association strives to preserve and promote an understanding of the agricultural industry, and stays true and committed to its mission of supporting youth and community.

Open Skies Family Day

Ever wonder how storms are made? Weather is part of everyday life, rain or shine. On Saturday, September 2nd we will be exploring the sky above. Learn more about meteorology, the atmosphere, and the ways the weather has affected human life on earth. Admission is free to the museum during Family Day; come and check out our temporary exhibit.

Petco Adoption Event

Stop by and visit the Killeen Animal Services adoption booth at the Harker Heights Petco store! We will be on site with adoptable dogs and cats from 10a.m. – 2p.m.

Waco Downtown Farmers Market

The Waco Downtown Farmers Market originally launched in 2011, tucked among live oaks along the Brazos River in a Waco before the Stadium and the Silos. The Market continued to operate year-round along the river for the next six years, growing from 14 vendors to over 40 vendors each Saturday and adding weekly musicians and seasonal Handmade Markets into the mix. In 2017, the Market relocated to its current location in the Courthouse parking lot due to riverside construction. Over the next two years, the Market focused on increasing nutrition incentive programs by adding Double Up Food Bucks and the WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program, increasing the purchasing power of customers utilizing food benefits while benefiting local agricultural producers. In 2021, the Market celebrated its 10th year with its strongest vendor sales to date, over $1.5 million in sales, while tripling participation in nutrition incentive programs, and hosting up to 80 vendors on special event weekends.

WestFest

WestFest will be held on September 1-3, 2023. There will be great live music and entertainment, arts and crafts, carnival, parade, polka mass, horseshoe pitching contest, kolache eating tournament, washer pitching contest, cornhole tournament, taroky tournament, family-oriented activities, authentic food and drinks, and more.
