You can hear a new episode of Hobby Memorial Library Update with Cindy Oser every Tuesday at 6:15pm on Simply Beautiful, 91.3FM KNCT.

Here are some highlights from the last episode:

CTC Astronomer, Warren Hart talks about constellations and planets that will be visible in the upcoming month’s night sky on Wednesday, July 26th at noon. The episode will be carried live on the library’s Facebook page. If you miss the live event, it will be available later on their YouTube channel.

The next CTC Writers Guild Meeting, where creative people gather, is Wednesday, July 26th at 4:30pm in the library. If you want to get involved with a creative group of people, join the Writers Guild! Email referencerequest@ctcd.edu for more information and to be added to the list. The group is open to the community and gets involved in school activities like the Haunted House and they support each other creatively. Whether you are a writer, artist, photographer, gamer, musician, podcaster, or anything creative, they work together to encourage your creativity in whatever area you wish to pursue. They meet in person, online, on Discord, and on a blog. Consider joining them today!

An art exhibit featuring the paintings and drawing of Mike Matthews, professor – Communications department, is currently on display in the upstairs art gallery of the library. It is free and open to the public. And on August 23rd at 5pm, the library is hosting a “Meet and Greet” with Professor Matthews.
