Aquilla ISD
- Aquilla ISD will be closed Thursday, February 3rd and Friday, February 4th.
Belton
- The City of Belton offices will be closed Thursday, February 3rd, due to the winter storm.
- Trash collections will not occur on Thursday, February 3rd, due to anticipated hazardous road conditions related to the winter storm. In addition, it is unclear at this time if Friday collections will occur. A decision about Friday’s collections will be made on Thursday.
- Belton ISD will be closed on Thursday, February 3rd, due to potentially hazardous road conditions from inclement weather. There will be no classes and all extracurricular activities are canceled for Thursday. Activities will be rescheduled as appropriate. They do not anticipate needing to make up this day at a later date, so the school calendar should not be impacted. - The Belton Senior Activity Center’s beginner line dance event scheduled for this evening has been cancelled due to the inclement weather.
Central Texas College
- Central and Ft. Hood campuses will be closed Thursday and Friday, February 3rd and 4th, due to inclement weather. A decision has been made in advance to allow students and employees time to prepare for the forecasted winter storm.
- CTC will remain closed through Saturday, February 5th. There will be no in-person classes but SVL/online classes will be held as scheduled.
Copperas Cove
- Essential City facilities, such as the Fire, Police, and Public Works Departments, will remain operational and ready; However, non-essential facilities will be closed on Thursday, February 3rd.
- Water, Sewer, and Wastewater Dept. crews are on standby and have taken necessary precautions to protect the various tanks, lift-stations, and plants. Crews will provide 24-hour coverage for any emergency repairs that may become necessary. For emergency disconnections or assistance, please contact the Police Dept. at (254) 547-8222 x0 so they may contact on-call staff.
- The Copperas Cove Civic Center, located at 1206 W Avenue B, will open this evening at midnight, and until further notice, to serve as a temporary warming center for any citizens requiring such service. The warming center is being established to offer temporary relief from the cold and will not offer full sheltering services.

- Copperas Cove ISD will be closed on Thursday due to the expectation of inclement weather.
Fort Hood
- The Fort Hood Senior Commander has authorized the closure of Fort Hood with only mission essential personnel reporting to work on February 3rd and February 4th here due to forecasted extremely cold temperatures, freezing precipitation, and hazardous road conditions.
- The Clear Creek Exchange, Commissary and Warrior Way Commissary will remain closed.
- The Fort Hood Child Development Center will be open for child care services for mission essential personnel only.
- All primary Fort Hood gates are open with the exception of Warrior Way and Mohawk gates.
- All beneficiary appointments for tomorrow, Thursday at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center will be rescheduled or shifted to virtual health appointments. This will include clinics, surgeries, administration, and ancillary services.
- The COVID Testing Site and Vaccination Site (Abrams Gym) will be closed and reopen when weather conditions permit. Vaccination Site walk-ins are welcome on the next open day.
Groesbeck ISD
- Due to the Ice Storm Forecast and Winter Storm Warning predicting ice and sleet along with hazardous road conditions all classes and extra-curricular activities scheduled for Thursday, February 3rd and Friday, February 4th, for Groesbeck ISD have been canceled. Kids Kare Academy will also be closed these two days.
Harker Heights
- Out of an abundance of caution due to potential freezing weather conditions, the City of Harker Heights will close all municipal facilities on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Emergency services will operate without interruption and city offices are expected to reopen Friday, February 4, 2022.
- Anticipated road conditions will not allow for safe collection of residential and commercial trash, so all collections have been cancelled for Thursday, February 3rd. Waste Management has stated that all routes will run one day behind.
Hillsboro ISD
- Hillsboro ISD will be closed February 3rd and Friday, February 4th due to the inclement weather.
Hubbard ISD
- Hubbard ISD will be closed Thursday, February 3rd and Friday, February 4th due to road conditions.
Jonesboro ISD
- The Jonesboro ISD is closed for Thursday, February 3rd and Friday, February 4th.
Killeen
- All City of Killeen offices will be closed on Thursday, February 3rd. Emergency personnel will remain on full staff and residents are asked to use the Police non-emergency line when possible at (254)501-8800, and use 911 in case of an emergency.
- The city will open warming centers nightly beginning February 2nd.
- Wednesday, February 2nd from 8 pm to 8 am, Rosa Hereford Community Center located at 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard.
- Thursday, February 3rd and Friday February 4th from 6 pm to 8 am, Moss Rose Center located at 1103 East Avenue E. Dinner will be served at 6 pm.
- Saturday, February 5th from 6 pm to 8 am, Rosa Hereford Community Center.
- Road crews will be on standby through the weekend, with salt and sand trucks prepared to treat major roads. However, some bridges and overpasses likely will become impassable and be closed. Residents are urged to stay off the roads, but if you do need to travel use extreme caution and maintain a safe distance between you and other cars.
- The Killeen Special City Council Workshop scheduled for February 5th has been cancelled.
- Killeen ISD will cancel all classes and close district buildings on Thursday, February 3rd. A final decision regarding a make-up date will be communicated at a later time. Their goal remains to complete the regular 2021-2022 school year prior to the Memorial Day Weekend.
- Due to the well-below freezing temperatures forecasted for Thursday and Friday, icy road conditions, and the continue uncertainty of power outages, all Killeen ISD campuses and buildings will remain closed on Friday.
- All varsity (boys/girls) soccer and basketball games will be moved to a 2:00 pm start on Saturday; locations will remain the same. JV/Freshman games are canceled. Wrestling is moved to Saturday.
- The Friday, February 4th, performance of The Lion King Jr. at Vive Les Arts Theatre is cancelled due to the inclement weather. All other performances of The Lion King Jr. will continue as scheduled. If you have tickets for February 4th, please call (254) 624-6791 to have your tickets moved to another performance date.
La Vega ISD
- La Vega ISD will cancel classes tomorrow, February 3rd, due to the winter storm predicted for our area.
- Due to the icy and cold weather conditions, La Vega ISD will cancel classes for Friday, February 4th.
Oglesby ISD
- Due to the forecast of inclement weather and dangerous road conditions we will be closed on Thursday, February 3, 2022. We will evaluate the conditions on Thursday and then determine the actions needed for Friday. They will release this information on their Facebook page (Oglesby Independent School District) or their website (www.oglesbyisd.net).
Rapoport Academy Public School
- Due to the Winter Storm Watch, Rapoport Academy Public School will be CLOSED Thursday, February 3rd, for both staff and students.
- They will remain closed Friday, February 4th, due to winter weather and below-freezing temperatures.
Salado ISD
- Due to inclement weather, Salado ISD will be closed on Thursday, February 3rd.
Temple
- City facilities will be closed Thursday. The City Council meeting planned for Thursday will be rescheduled to Monday, February 7th at 10 am.
- The COVID-19 testing site will be closed through Friday and reopen on Monday, February 7th.
- Due to weather conditions, Temple ISD will be closed February 3rd, which includes the cancellation of extracurricular activities.
University of Mary Hardin-Baylor
- Due to expected inclement weather, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor campus will be closed Thursday, February 3. This includes both in-person and online classes. All offices will be closed, as well.
Waco ISD
- Due to the anticipated winter weather and hazardous road conditions in our area, all Waco ISD schools and offices will be closed Thursday, February 3rd.
- Due to the ongoing winter storm and hazardous road conditions in our area, Waco ISD schools and offices will remain closed on Friday, February 4th. They will resume normal school hours on Monday, February 7
