VIVE LES ARTS TO OPEN THE NUTCRACKER PERFORMED BY THE TEXAS METROPOLITAN BALLET DECEMBER 16, 2021 AT 7:00PM.

KILLEEN: Vive Les Arts Theatre and Executive Director Jami R Salter are proud to announce The Texas Metropolitan Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker.

The Christmas Season’s famous tradition continues. Texas Metropolitan Ballet is proud to present this classic holiday favorite. The Nutcracker is sure to delight audiences of all ages. The Nutcracker is the story of a young girl who befriends a Nutcracker, given to her by her mysterious godfather Mr. Drosselmeyer, that magically comes to life on Christmas Eve. Clara and the Nutcracker, that has now transformed into a prince, must battle the evil Mouse King. Clara and the Prince then travel to the beautiful Land of Sweets, ruled by the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Prince’s place until his return. He recounts for the Sugar Plum Fairy how he had been saved from the Mouse King by Clara and transformed back into himself. All is well, and the sugar plum fairies perform a dance.

Performance dates will be December 16-19 at 7:00pm. There are two matinee performances at 2:00pm, one on December 18th and the other on the 19th. There is no 7:00pm performacne on December 19th. Vive Les Arts Theatre is located at 3401 S WS Young, Killeen TX, right next door to the convention center. Tickets are $19 for adults and $12 for children and students 18 and under.
