Pecan Cove Drive Reconstruction and Drainage Improvements Project

Copperas Cove, Texas – The City of Copperas Cove Pecan Cove Drive Reconstruction
and Drainage Improvements Project will begin on Monday, April 5, 2021. Work is expected
to be completed no later than mid-January 2022, barring inclement weather.

During this time TTG Utilities, LP will reconstruct Pecan Cove Drive from W Bus US 190 t
Freedom Lane, as well as improve drainage in various areas along the roadway. Utility
Engineering Group, PLLC was engaged mid-year 2020 to provide engineering design
services for the project. The reconstruction will include new base material, asphalt, curb
and gutter, and guard rails to improve safety for motorists traveling on the steep grades of
the roadway. The bid contract was awarded to TTG Utilities, LP by City Council on January
5, 2021 in the amount of $1,346,431.00. Funding for this project was approved and made
available in the Drainage Fund Operating Budget in FY 2018-19 and in the 2019
Certificates of Obligation.
Construction will begin near W Bus US 190 and move northwest towards Freedom Lane.
The project will be completed in a manner as to allow one lane of travel to remain open and
passable at most times with minimal delays. Should a complete road closure become
necessary, proper and timely notice will be provided. All motorists are encouraged to follow
posted road construction signs for the safety of themselves and work crews.
