LANE CLOSURES ON VALLEY AND SISSOM ROADS

Multiple lane closures are planned as water infrastructure improvements in northwest Killeen progress over the next month.

Valley Road, from Fairview Drive to Rancier, will experience daily closures from January 6 through February 5.

Sissom Road and Sissom Court, from Hillcrest to Valley Road, will experience daily lane closures from January 6 to 22.

Crews are installing water services and must enter the roadways to complete the work, which is part of the Waterline Rehab Phase 3 project, which will replace 3.5 miles of aged and undersized waterlines and fire hydrants in northwest Killeen.

One lane will remain open from for through traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., during work hours, and all lanes will be reopened at the end of each day.

Traffic will be detoured, motorists are asked to use caution and obey traffic control devices.
