KNCT Founders Club Member, Vive Les Arts Theater presents Matilda, The Musical from their stage located at 3401 South W. S. Young Drive in Killeen. Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers. She’s unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly lovable Miss Honey. Over the course of her first term at school, Matilda and Miss Honey have a profound effect on each other’s lives, as Miss Honey begins not only to recognize but also appreciate Matilda’s extraordinary personality.

Two bright planets accompany the Moon across the sky tonight. Brilliant Jupiter, the solar system’s largest planet, is close to the upper right of the Moon as they climb into good view around 10:30 or 11. And fainter Saturn — the second-largest planet — is about the same distance to the left of the Moon.

For over 30 years, KNCT has been the stage for six hours of the best Big Band music, including artists such as Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and Ella Fitzgerald. In addition to all the great tunes, you all get updates from the Fort Hood USO at 1:30 pm and news from our World War II Roving Reporter at 2:30pm.

By 1954 Doris Day had risen to the rank of superstar. She made two movies that year — “Lucky Me” and “Young at Heart.” the following year, in “Love Me or Leave Me,” she starred as Ruth Etting in the fictionalized screen biography of this singing sensation of the 1920s.
