KILLEEN – Last night the Killeen City Council approved the appointments of three new executive director positions within the city government.

Joseph “Joe” Brown takes over as the Executive Director of Recreation Services.  Brown had been the Parks & Recreation Director and Deputy City Manager for Copperas Cove since 2015.  Brown, graduate of Ohio State University, played football for the Buckeyes and the Seattle Seahawks before enlisting in the Army in 2003.

Wilfred “Willie” Resto, who spent over two years as the Chief Information Officer of the City of Midland, will become the new Executive Director of Information Technology.  Resto, a retired Army Sergeant First Class with nearly 26 years of service, has a degree from DeVry Institute of Technology.

Lastly, Danielle Singh was appointed the Executive Director of Public Works.  Following a year as the Assistant City Manager in Hutto, Singh worked in the private sector as a Business Development Project Manager.  She is a graduate of Texas A & M University, receiving her Bachelors of Civil Engineering in 2007.  In 2014, she was the City of College Station’s Employee of the Year.

The Council voted unanimously to approve each appointment.
