Heckeisms

  • “Eye on the sky.”
  • “Cirrus is near us.”
  • “Garden Variety…”
    • The term “garden variety” weather refers to ordinary, typical, or unremarkable weather conditions—the kind you might expect on a regular day without any severe or unusual events.
  • “Got some stratus comin’ at us.”
    • Stratus clouds are sliding in our direction—soft, gray, and stretching across the sky.
  • “Hail in the cell.”
  • “Loose eye on the sky.”
    • Keeping a casual watch on the weather conditions.
  • “No pets, no plants, no people.”
  • “Shallow pool or cool.”
    • A small area of cooler air or temperature—perhaps a brief reprieve from heat, like a pocket of cooler conditions in an otherwise hot environment.
  • “Sprinkles and tinkles.”
  • “Sure happy it’s Thursday.”
  • Today, we are gonna run with the sun.”
