The City of Killeen Engineering Department will close the eastbound lane of Chaparral Road between Trimmier Road and Taylor Renee Drive beginning Tuesday, Feb. 10, and continuing through Friday, March 6. The lane will be shut down to through traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, weather permitting, as crews install a new watermain.

The project is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements in the area. During the closure, the contractor will implement a full traffic control plan to direct vehicles safely around the work zone. Drivers should expect delays, especially during peak travel times, and are urged to use caution and follow all posted signs and traffic control devices.
