Copperas Cove ISD has opened applications for new out‑of‑district student transfers. Families interested in having their child attend CCISD for the first time can now apply online at www.CCISD.com/Transfers.

Superintendent Dr. Brent Hawkins said the district understands that parents seek the best fit for their children and noted that CCISD aims to provide a strong foundation for life after graduation. He highlighted the district’s wide range of award‑winning extracurricular options and its commitment to welcoming new families.

CCISD is recognized as one of the top academic performers in central Texas, offering what district leaders describe as “big‑city opportunities with a small‑town feel.” The district provides more than 30 industry certifications across 12 Career & Technical Education pathways, beginning as early as junior high. It also features an early literacy initiative designed to build long‑term academic success. In 2025, 99% of CCISD graduates met the Texas Education Agency’s College, Career & Military‑Ready standards.

Students in Copperas Cove have access to numerous extracurricular programs, including athletics, fine arts, academic teams, and career‑focused organizations.

Parents of current out‑of‑district transfer students will receive an email Monday with details about registering for the 2026–27 school year.
