The Area Agency on Aging of Tarrant County (AAATC), in partnership with members of the Texas Silver‑Haired Legislature (TSHL), is organizing a series of community discussions to gather input on services and supports for older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers. The sessions are designed to give residents an opportunity to speak directly with service providers and share what resources and issues matter most to them.
Organizers say the goal is to identify gaps in services and better understand the needs of the region’s aging population. Feedback collected during these meetings will help guide future planning and program development.
Three sessions are scheduled across Tarrant County:
- January 13, 2026 — 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. North Richland Hills Library, Community Room 9015 Grand Ave., North Richland Hills, TX 76180
- January 20, 2026 — 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Saginaw Recreation Center 633 W. McLeroy Blvd., Saginaw, TX 76179
- January 27, 2026 — 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Fort Worth Public Library, Vivian J. Lincoln Branch 8829 McCart Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76123

Attendance is limited to 75 participants per session, and refreshments will be provided. Registration information is available at www.unitedwaytarrant.org/aaasession.
The Texas Silver‑Haired Legislature, established as a model legislative body, enables older Texans to research, debate, and recommend policies affecting their peers. Supported by the State of Texas, TSHL uses Capitol facilities and publishes a biennial Legislative Report for lawmakers. More than 275 state laws have been influenced by TSHL recommendations since its creation.
Both organizations emphasize their shared mission of helping older Texans live healthier, safer, and more independent lives. Organizers encourage community members to participate and make their voices heard.
