The southbound lane of Old FM 440, from West Central Texas Expressway to Wheeler Avenue, is scheduled to be closed from Wednesday, Jan. 7 through Friday, Jan. 9. The closure will be in effect each day from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.

According to officials, the closure is needed to allow an Atmos Energy contractor to perform work in the area. A traffic control plan will be in place, and crews will guide motorists around the work zone.

Drivers are encouraged to anticipate delays, use caution when traveling through the area, and follow all posted traffic control devices.
