Cedar Park residents will have a brisk start to 2026 with the annual Polar Plunge, taking place on January 1 at Veterans Memorial Pool. The event invites participants age 12 and older to welcome the new year with a dip in the facility’s dive well.

Attendees can choose to slide down the drop slide or jump from the dive platform before warming up with a complimentary hot cocoa bar. The Polar Plunge has become a lighthearted tradition for those looking to begin the year with a bit of fun and a burst of cold water.

The event begins at 10 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Pool, located at 2525 New Hope Drive in Cedar Park.
