The City of Killeen’s Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (OHSEM) oversees a broad range of efforts designed to help the community prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and large-scale emergencies. The department works closely with every City division to strengthen preparedness before emergencies occur, while also coordinating with county, state, and federal partners to ensure a unified approach to public safety.
City officials emphasize that advance planning plays a key role in improving community resilience and protecting lives, property, and resources during emergency situations.
