Austin Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Austin Resource Recovery, will host the 39th Annual Holiday Tree Recycling events at Zilker Park.

Austinites can drop off their holiday trees between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on two dates:

• Sunday, December 28, 2025
• Saturday, January 3, 2026.

All trees collected during the events will be turned into mulch. Free mulch will be available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis beginning January 8 at 9 a.m., though availability may be affected by weather conditions.
