The City of Killeen will close all municipal offices on Wednesday, Dec. 24, and Thursday, Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Thursday’s trash collection will be moved to Wednesday, while all other pickup schedules remain unchanged.

The Killeen Recycling Center will also be closed on Dec. 24 and 25. Recycling trailers will still be available at the rodeo grounds at 3601 South W.S. Young Drive. The Killeen Transfer Station will operate on Dec. 24 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be closed on Christmas Day.

Libraries, the Senior Center, the Family Recreation Center, and the Solid Waste Administration Building will all be closed on Dec. 24 and 25 as well.

As we celebrate this Christmas season, all of us here at KNCT want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. May your home be filled with peace, joy, and the kind of moments that stay with you long after the holidays fade.

And as we enjoy the warmth of the season, let’s remember to reach out to our neighbors, friends, and loved ones—especially those who may be spending the holiday alone. A simple call, a quick visit, or even a kind word can make all the difference.

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas and blessings to you this holiday season.
