The annual Central Texas Veterans Day Parade will take place on Tuesday, November 11, at 11 a.m. in Killeen’s historic downtown district. The event honors the service and sacrifice of veterans from all branches of the U.S. military.

Before the parade begins, the Department of Veterans Affairs will formally recognize Killeen as a regional site for Veterans Day observances. A certificate of recognition will be presented to Mayor Debbie Nash-King at 10:45 a.m.

The parade is sponsored by the Central Texas Area Veterans Advisory Committee (AVAC), which includes representatives from veteran organizations in Nolanville, Harker Heights, and Killeen. Community members are encouraged to attend and participate. Parade entries are being accepted through Monday, November 10, with no registration fee. Interested participants can apply at centex-avac.org.

The parade route begins at West Avenue D near City Hall, travels along North College Street and West Avenue D to 8th Street, continues to Sprott Street and Gray Street, and concludes by returning down Gray Street to Avenue C and ending at North College Street. Spectators are advised to arrive early for optimal parking and viewing.
