Operation Stand Down Central Texas (O.S.D.C.T.) will host its 12th Annual Fall Stand Down & Homeless Community Triage on Saturday, October 25th, from 9am to 3pm at the Killeen Civic & Conference Center.
This annual event provides critical support to individuals experiencing homelessness, with a special focus on veterans and their families across the Central Texas region. Attendees will have access to a wide range of services including health screenings, housing assistance, employment resources, and transportation support.
O.S.D.C.T. works year-round to assist homeless veterans and their families by:
- Offering immediate relief from the trauma and isolation of homelessness in a safe, welcoming environment.
- Providing short-term resources such as shelter, beds, food, showers, clothing, and haircuts during the event.
- Raising public awareness about veteran homelessness and encouraging dialogue through media coverage and participation from elected officials.
The Fall Stand Down event is open to the public and aims to foster connection, dignity, and access to essential services. Community members are encouraged to share event details with those who may benefit. Event will provide all homeless a hot meal, haircut, medical screenings, new clothing & shoes, along with various other resources.
