The City of Harker Heights has issued a boil water notice for residents located between 2211 Indian Trail and 2314 Indian Trail, following maintenance work on a water main valve at the intersection of Indian Trail and Caddo.

During the valve replacement, water service may have been temporarily interrupted, resulting in reduced pressure in the distribution system. In accordance with state regulations, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has directed the city to notify affected customers to boil their water before use.

Affected Properties:

  • 2211 Indian Trail through 2314 Indian Trail

Precautionary Measures:

Residents in the affected area are advised to boil water intended for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing hands and face.

  • Bring water to a vigorous rolling boil for two minutes, then allow it to cool before use.
  • Alternatively, bottled water or water from a verified safe source may be used.

These precautions are especially important for children, seniors, and individuals with weakened immune systems, who may be more susceptible to harmful bacteria.

Notification and Updates:

City officials will issue a follow-up notice once water quality has been confirmed and the boil water advisory is lifted. The rescind notice will be distributed in a manner similar to this advisory.

For questions or updates, residents may contact the City of Harker Heights Public Works Department or visit the city’s official website.
