The City of Belton Parks & Recreation, in partnership with the Lena Armstrong Public Library, is inviting community members of all ages to participate in “The Great Pumpkin Paint-Off,” a seasonal art event celebrating creativity and fall spirit.

Participants are encouraged to paint a pumpkin—without carving—and drop it off at the Lena Armstrong Public Library between October 1 and October 22. There is no entry fee, and the event is open to all age groups.

Pumpkins will be judged across four themed categories:

  • Cute & Whimsical
  • Classic Autumn
  • Pop Culture
  • Abstract & Artistic

Awards will be given for:

  • Best Overall Pumpkin
  • Most Creative Design
  • Funniest Pumpkin

To ensure fairness and originality, participants are asked to submit only one pumpkin each, avoid carving or using pre-made decals, and credit any outside inspiration used in their designs.

Winners will be announced on October 27. For more information, participants can contact the organizers at parksandrec@beltontexas.gov.

This community event offers a fun, inclusive way to celebrate the season while showcasing local creativity.
