The City of Killeen has issued a Boil Water Notice for select addresses along North 8th Street beginning Tuesday, September 30, 2025, due to scheduled maintenance as part of the city’s waterline rehabilitation program.

Water service will be temporarily interrupted starting at approximately 7:30 AM and is expected to be restored by 5:00 PM the same day. The affected locations include:

• 1808 N. 8th St. Twin Apartments – 16 units
• 1810 N. 8th St. Apartments – 24 units
• 1901, 1903, 1905, and 1906 N. 8th St.

Private contractors will be installing new 6-inch water lines in the area. As a precaution, residents at these addresses are advised to boil all water prior to consumption until water sampling confirms that no contamination has occurred. Water quality tests will be conducted the following day, with results expected within 24 to 48 hours.

Notification and Updates: The City of Killeen will issue a public notice once the Boil Water Notice is lifted. Updates will be available on the City of Killeen website and through the Boil Water Notice Hotline at (254) 501-6515.
