The Trail of Lights Foundation has announced that tickets are now available for the 61st Annual Austin Trail of Lights, set to illuminate Zilker Park from Wednesday, December 10 through Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Powered by long-time title sponsor H-E-B, this cherished holiday tradition continues to be the longest-running event of its kind in Texas’ capital city.

Recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation’s top Christmas light displays, the Austin Trail of Lights has grown from a modest 1965 gathering around a yule log into a spectacular showcase featuring over 2 million lights, 96 illuminated trees, and more than 70 festive displays and tunnels.

General Admission remains free to the public for seven nights—December 10–12 and December 15–18—ensuring broad community access. Ticketed nights include December 13–14 and December 19–23, with additional premium experiences such as the Fun Run, Night Lights Preview Party, and limited VIP options available for purchase.

Proceeds from these optional experiences help fund Trail operations, support the STARS non-profit access program, and provide free entertainment opportunities for local performers. An estimated 120,000 guests benefit from free General Admission nights each year.

The event is made possible through a partnership with the City of Austin and generous contributions from sponsors and donors. In addition to H-E-B, anchor partners include Ascension / Dell Children’s, Vista Equity Partners, KXAN, Coca-Cola, Thomas J. Henry, and many others.
