Excellence is in full bloom at Copperas Cove High School, where 21 current and former students have earned a remarkable 28 National Recognitions from the College Board, marking a milestone achievement for the district and doubling last year’s total.
Announced by Copperas Cove Independent School District (CCISD) on [insert day], the honors spotlight students who have demonstrated academic distinction and personal resilience. To qualify, recipients must have taken the PSAT in 10th or 11th grade, scored a 3 or higher on at least two AP exams by 10th grade, maintained a GPA of 3.30 or above, and identify as first-generation college students, minority students, or attend a rural or small-town school.

Superintendent Dr. Brent Hawkins praised the students’ accomplishments, stating, “We have students who are excelling in so many areas, and these Bulldawgs are set up for a life filled with additional success after high school. To earn a National Recognition just cements their place in the cream of the crop, nationwide, and we are incredibly proud of them for this achievement.”
