Residents in several Killeen neighborhoods are being urged to take precautionary measures as a Boil Water Notice goes into effect beginning September 16, 2025, due to scheduled waterline maintenance and service interruptions.

Affected addresses include:

  • Lewis Street: 2606 (Marlboro Mobile Home Park – 40 trailers)
  • Norris Avenue: 700–725
  • West Avenue D: 400–725
  • Blair Street: 218, 225
  • 761st Tank Battalion: 405–715
  • Root Avenue: 205, 209

Water Safety Precautions

Following the restoration of water service, water quality samples will be collected the next day. Results are expected within 24 to 48 hours. Until testing confirms that no contamination occurred, residents are advised to boil all water intended for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing food.

Boiling water for at least two minutes will help eliminate any potential bacteria or contaminants introduced during the service disruption.
