The City of Killeen has issued a Boil Water Notice for select addresses on Goodhue Drive, effective immediately, due to an emergency water main break.
Water service has been interrupted for the following addresses: 1100, 1102, 1104, 1106, 1108, 1110, 1112, 1114, 1116, 1118, 1120, 1122, and 1124 Goodhue Drive.
Crews have identified a break in a 6-inch water main and will need to isolate the line to complete necessary repairs. Water crews are currently on site and will remain until all repairs are finalized and water service is restored.
Once service resumes, residents in the affected area are advised to boil all water intended for drinking, cooking, and ice-making. Water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil for at least two minutes before use. Bottled water or water from a safe source may also be used.
Water quality samples will be collected the following day, with results expected within 24 to 48 hours. The Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until testing confirms that no contamination occurred.
Updates will be posted on the City of Killeen website and shared via the Boil Water Notice Hotline at (254) 501-6515. For questions or assistance, residents may contact the Water & Sewer Services help line at (254) 501-6319.
