Residents in parts of Killeen are being advised to take extra precautions with their water usage Thursday. A Boil Water Notice has been issued for the following addresses due to scheduled maintenance tied to the ongoing roadway reconstruction project on Gilmer Street:

• 608 N. Gilmer St.
• 606 – 718 W. Church Avenue
• 600 – 723 McArthur Dr.
• 615 Henderson St.

Beginning at approximately 7:30 AM on Thursday, September 4th, water services will be temporarily shut off as contractors work to connect a new 6-inch water main to existing infrastructure across three cross streets. Restoration of water service is expected by 5:00 PM.

Until water sampling confirms the absence of contamination, residents are urged to boil all water intended for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing food. Water quality samples will be collected the following day, with results anticipated within 24 to 48 hours.
